Footwear exports in Quanzhou city reached 1.84 billion U.S. dollars during the first eight months, marked 20% growth from a year earlier, according to Quanzhou Customs. August is an off-season for leather products exports. Although the exports in August slightly dropped for footwear and luggage and bags, the footwear orders saw a significant growth than previous year.
In view of current situation the exports is expected to continue to growth for the next year, some shoemakers have received enough orders for the first quarter production next year.
