The bilateral trade between China and Africa has greatly promoted in recent years, this is because advantages of resources, potential market and investment environment in Africa countries and priority policies issued by Chinese government to Africa. Footwear industry sets a typical example, more and more Chinese medium and small footwear producers put their eyes on Africa.
The vice minister of commerce Wang Chao said the trade between China and Africa has restored to $61.2 billion in the first half of this year, up 65% compared to a year earlier, and expects to exceed $100 billion for whole year.
Cooperation on traditional industries has vast space to growth because of strong advantages of resources in Africa and powerful manufacturing capacity in China. For instance the Egypt and China Joint Venture Brother Footwear has gained half of sports shoes market share in Egypt.
