A three-day Istanbul Leather Fair had been conducted at the TÜYAP Fair Congress and Convention Center, wherein the latest designs of Turkish leather were highlighted.
Significance of leather in the larger sector of readymade garments has also been underlined in the fair, said Mr. Serdar Yalçin, Chief Executive Officer of TÜYAP.
The fair, which had been considered as an opportunity for leather manufacturers to explore new markets, was attended by the leather sector representatives of around 50 countries and by 143 firms from 19 countries.
As the common outlook of ‘leather is a winter-wear’ is changing rapidly, the production of leather goods is witnessing expansion these days, added Mr. Yalçin.
TÜYAP conducted this fair in association with Arti F Organization with the support of many organizations, including the Turkish Leather Garments Producers Association, the Turkish Leather Industry Association, the Aegean Region Leather Industry Association, and several other leather-related institutions under the roof of the Turkish Leather Foundation.
Exhibitors who actively participated in the fair, includes manufacturers of variety of leather products such as leather and fur garments, bags, belts as well as manufacturers of tanning chemicals and machines, sewing machines, finishing facilities and designers.
