Do you create designs that are runway worthy? Do you have the next great design that fashionistas will love? Take this opportunity to enter The Art Institutes annual Passion for Fashion Competition and you could be the next winner of a full tuition scholarship to a participating Art Institutes school.
The Art Institutes schools are now searching for creative, passionate, and driven high school seniors who have a calling towards the fashion industry. Those who have an interest should enter The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition.
The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition was created to encourage and reward young fashion talent.
One grand prize winner in each of the two categories (i) Fashion Design and (ii) Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management will earn a full tuition scholarship to study at a participating Art Institutes school.
To be eligible to enter, a student must be a high school senior scheduled to graduate in 2010.
In the Fashion Design category, entry requirements include submission of an original evening wear design. In the Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management category, entry requirements include a finished product or plan.
"The abilities of the high school seniors who enter The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition are amazing! We are pleased to sponsor this competition and offer scholarships that will help students develop their skills and background in fashion," said Bruce E. Dempsey, Vice President, Academic Affairs Specialist, The Art Institutes.
Each grand prize winner, in partnership with Seventeen Magazine, also receives a trip to New York City to attend a Fashion Week show, a "meet and greet" at Seventeen Magazine's offices, lunches with a Seventeen Magazine Style Pro and receives a $500 shopping spree.
The deadline to submit entries at a participating Art Institutes school is November 20, 2009.
