US congressman again sponsored "buy American" law

American congressman Larry Kissell sponsored again that all the fabric for DHS's wears must be America produces.

This proposal is rested on his last year’s successful practice, which managed to persuade TSA to buy American fabric taking advantage of The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. And also, during these years, Berry Amendment demanded DOD to buy American fabric, including uniform, camping tent and water proof canvas.

Although Cass Johnson, president of National Council of Textile Organizations, applauded this bill, it will still not be easy for it to be passed.

Obama administration is very cautious to those bills which will be suspected as “Trade Protectionism”. What’s more, the governments are commonly against “Buy American” as it will affect their budget. (Freedom)
