On June 21, Han Changfu, Minister of Agriculture met with Yuji Miyamoto, Japanese Ambassador to China. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral agricultural cooperation.
Han Changfu applauded the Ambassador for his contribution to bilateral agricultural exchanges and cooperation since Mr. Yuji Miyamoto s appointment, and reviewed the agricultural cooperation between China and Japan.
Han Changfu said that the two countries should continue agricultural exchange and cooperation through bilateral cooperation mechanism, exchange views on international food and agricultural issues and agricultural cooperation concerning both sides, and deepen and expand agricultural cooperation and exchange.
The Ambassador agreed with Minister Han, and expressed that he would contribute more to bilateral agricultural cooperation.
Chen Mengshan, Chief Economist of MOA and Lu Xiaoping, Deputy Director-General of Department of International Cooperation attended the meeting.
