After the Chinese Spring Festival held 11-12 March this year we organised, together with our Chinese agent BJHMA, the first preservation techinique training of Mooij. Mr.Dongqing, CEO of Yanbei company wanted to be the host of all Chinese preservation specialists. He had invited Maarten Mooij for this training to explain the possibilities of the system and the requirements for good preservation. In addition the difference between European and American ventilation systems was discussed and why the hybrid system is the best suited to China.
Of course practical items were also fully discussed, such as Orion and Rainbow preservation computers, the benefit of moistening, the CO2 arrangement and the supply of germ suppressing means, such as CIPC. During the middle of March 2010 it was still rather cold in Zhangbei, but the participants were very motivated, were also very energetic and interested in the training.
Most of them are managers of preservation companies or their co-workers. They already had some experience. The training is meant to teach the kow-how of preservation and to increase and combine theory and practice. Our combined object is always to improve the preservation result. Via an internet connection the set-up of a preservation area in the Netherlands was practised.
Finally a practical exam was administered and all participants went home not only with more knowledge but also with a certificate.
