According to "Asia News ", the oldest winery which founded in 1895 announced that they would shut down in 2011. It located in Eastbourne Bluff of northern Tajikistan. The reason is a lack of grape. The costs of grape crops rise sharply in 2010.
They produced 500l wine in January 2010 by the influence of power supply shortage. It valued 2200 somoni (about $ 500). They only produced 5000l wine in January 2011 by the influence of the grape prices. It valued 17,000 somoni (about $ 3,800). The owner of the enterprises said the winery could produce 10 times more wine originally.
