AN 18-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing two friends in a dispute over 100 yuan (US$16) in Bao an District on Saturday.
Bao an police said Tuesday the suspect, identified as Zhang, had borrowed 100 yuan from his friends, who were known only as He and Huang in March.
Zhang gave them his ID card as a guarantee to repay them. On Saturday, Zhang asked for his ID card to look for a job. He was refused and during a quarrel, he stabbed them to death, police said.
The two bodies were found in their rented apartment in Taoxia New Village on Monday evening when the landlord went to collect the rent. The landlord called police and Zhang was caught Tuesday.
Investigations continue.
