TRAVEL agencies in South Korea would organize package tours to Shenzhen during the summer Universiade, which opens Aug. 12, the Daily Sunshine reported yesterday.
The Games will appeal to tourists from South Korea, said Lee, a manager of the China travel department at South Korea s Hanatour Travel Agency.
Lee was one the representatives from 16 travel agencies in South Korea to visit Shenzhen at the invitation of Shenzhen s tourism bureau. The 16 travel agencies had more than 80 percent of the tour market in South Korea, the paper said.
More than 142,000 tourists from South Korea visited Shenzhen last year, a year-on-year increase of more than 30 percent. (Li Hao)
