A MAN surnamed Wang killed his wife and seriously injured another man before he took his own life in broad daylight in a street in Longhua, Bao an District on Friday.
Wang, 24, a native of Hunan, quarreled with Xie, who later proved to be Wang s wife, and a man surnamed Yang near the Sanhe Talent Market in Longhua on Friday morning.
Wang stabbed Yang through his shoulder and chest with a kitchen knife during the quarrel. When Xie tried to stop him, Wang stabbed Xie, 22, also a native of Hunan, in the neck. Xie died at the scene in a pool of blood, Bao an police said at a release Friday.
After the attack, Wang chased Yang, 27, a native of Hubei, along the street and hacked him to the ground. Then he returned back to Xie s side and killed himself with a knife wound to his neck, a witness surnamed Yu said.
Yang, who was treated at Longhua hospital, refused to comment.
Police investigations showed Yang was having an affair with Xie.
