THE city government has issued a notice to prohibit the use of highly pollutant fuels such as coal and biomass fuel.
Starting from July 1, all combustion engines using these fuels, except those generating electricity, should be either scrapped or renovated to use natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, electricity or other clean energy.
District governments would supervise renovations and those who failed to complete the work on time would be shut down.
