A FRENCHMAN living in Shenzhen keeps an old camera which had captured life s moments for four generations of his family.
Ben Bost, from Avignon in southern France, has been carrying the antique camera, produced by Voigtlander, a well-known German camera brand in the 1930s, since it was passed on to him from his father years ago.
The antique camera was bought by Bost s grandfather and was more than 80 years old.
Bost is an old family name in France and Bost also has a long family history.
My family has 300 years of written history which is recorded by the local church, said Bost. Half the history has pictorial records.
Bost s hometown is usually the first stop for tourists to Provence, known in the world for its lavender and natural beauty.
There is an old picture on the wall in Bost s home of his grandfather as a baby.
My grandfather was an engineer and loved to buy many novel and strange things. We called him shopaholic, said Bost. (Tina Chen)
