Business registrations
SHENZHEN, Huizhou and Dongguan companies that open branches in any of the three cities can register the business with the respective market supervision authorities, according to an agreement signed by the three cities Wednesday.
The detailed plan and agenda will be released in a month.
Vagrant suit
BAO AN Aid Center, acting on behalf of a dead vagrant, demanded a bus driver and five other defendants pay compensation of 148,383 yuan (US$22,483) to either the vagrant s family or for welfare expenditure.
The vagrant, whose identity was not known, was killed by a bus in December 2009 in Bao an District. The driver, Chen Wenkang, was held responsible for the death.
The Bao an court accepted the lawsuit in December 2010. The hearing, which opened Wednesday, is continuing.
Village relocation
THREE urban villages in Yantian District will be relocated for property development, according to an agreement signed by the Yantian district government and a property developer.
The relocation involves 1,035 households and the demolition of 163 buildings. The village houses will be replaced with new apartment buildings.
