A MAN who attacked a government employee last year has been sentenced to five months in jail by Futian District People s Court on charges of causing public disorder.
On Nov. 30 last year, Lu Zhigao, 44, broke into the offices of the city s human resources and social security administration, grabbing a female employee, Shao, by the hair and dragging her to the ground, then banging her head several times against a marble table. The attack was captured on surveillance video.
Shao was reported to be pregnant when the attack happened, but this was later found to be untrue, Southern Metropolis Daily reported yesterday.
Lu told the Daily after the incident that the woman had lost an important document, damaging his claim for work-related injuries.
He said the document had been provided by his former employer to prove his injuries happened between 2005 and 2007.
Lu claimed he had handed the document to Shao in the first of several applications for a work-related injury appraisal.
Administration officials said earlier that the document Lu mentioned would have had no influence on the appraisal of his injuries.
The administration claimed earlier that Lu had been a persistent troublemaker since 2005, sending a death threat to an employee in 2009. (Li Hao)
