Kenyan soccer club Sofapaka seemed confident about defeating Angola's AC Aviacao in their upcoming Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Cup encounter as team officials have already talked about meeting next round opponents Ismaily of Egypt.

The Kenyan team forced a 0-0 draw away in Luanda and they will host their Angolan opponents in Nairobi for the second leg on Sunday.

Sofapaka chairman Elly Kalekwa had the audacity to discuss Egypt's Ismaily.

"We have a lot of memories of Ismaily beating us in the CAF Champions League last year and I want us to settle scores," said Kalekwa. "If we get to the first round, Ismaily better watch out."

Head coach Ezekiel Akhwana said his team had gained much progress since their early exit from last year's continental competition.

"This team now has experience and a lot of quality. The team is better compared to last season," said Akhwana.

"The whole team has to train together on Friday before I name my final side. But four of the five players who were with Harambee Stars are back in the team," he added.

The Kenyan national team jetted back home Thursday afternoon from Johannesburg after going 2-0 down to Bafana Bafana in Wednesday's international friendly.

Zachariah Onyango, Edgar Ochieng, Anthony Kimani, Humphrey Mieno and Bob Mugalia were in the Stars team.
