DICP-FP6 Collaboration Yielded Good Results

Recently, Prof. CHENG Mojie of DICP has received a congratulation letter from Dr. Rietveld G. Bert, Chief Scientist, and Dr. Y. ZHANG-Steenwinkel, Research Item Leader, of the FP-6 SOFC600 program of EU, praising Prof. Cheng and his co-workers have developed novel anode materials which, when applied in the anode functional layers of the fuel cells fabricated by the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands, has made the properties of the fuel cells to exceed greatly all previous developed cells, thus allowing the Dutch scientists to achieve their goal ahead of the schedule.

FP-6, the Sixth Framework Program, is a program for research and technological development of EU, while SOCF600 is one of the research topics of FP-6, which aims at the development of new generation solid oxide fuel cells operating at 600 C. The SOFC600 is a collaboration item of 26 research organization partners from National Institutes, Universities and Enterprises of Europe, America and Asia. DICP is one of these partners, being responsible for the investigation of anode and cathode materials as well as fuel cell integrating.
