Qinhuai River Seine Twin City Photo and Painting Exhibition of China & France was held from October 23rd, in Gulou Park.

At the exhibition, audience can see print works of Jean Marie, former curator of Monet Art Museum and academician of L'Acad mie des Beaux-Arts de France; photos taken by Mr. Pierre, chairman of France Masterwork Art World Association and French photographer Anna, with the theme of the Seine; and oil painting works.

Gourmet, Chief of Paris 13 and President of French Artists Association came all the way to attend the opening ceremony. Mr. Gourmet said in his address that, French Embassy in China was located in Gulou District during the time of the Republic of China. There is time-honored history and good tradition of Chinese and French cultural exchanges in Gulou District.

A country s influence is embodied by military affairs, economy and culture. Nowadays, culture s role becomes more and more important, as can be seen in Gulou District and Nanjing. Nanjing is exhibiting its glamour as a historical and cultural city in a more distinctive way. He is glad to march together with Nanjing.

Qinhuai River Seine Twin City Photo and Painting Exhibition will last for one week, till the afternoon of 29th. Citizens can have free admission from 9:00 to 17:00 every day. Since Gulou Park is open for free, no ticket will be required to enter the park.

Also, initial publish ceremony for the magazine China-France Masterwork Art was held on the site.
