IOV World Youth Congress Opens in Nanjing in Oct.

Information came from the press conference of Nanjing Municipal Government on 12th, that the 2nd IOV World Youth Congress will be held in Nanjing October 21st-26th.

The International Organisation f r Volkskunst is referred to as IOV for short. It is the only international organization under UNESCO working to document, preserve and promote of all forms of folk art. Its members scatter in 175 countries and on 8 island areas. IOV consists of experts, scholars, government officials, university teachers and professionals working on folk art reservation in many countries. The congress is held every two years and this year s congress is on Cultural Heritage and Urban Sustainability . (Xinhua Daily)
