Dongguan on Wednesday started training for its fifteen volunteers who have been selected for a one-year civil service term in the Republic of Seychelles, an island country in the East Africa.

The three-day training covers courses on teamwork spirit, English language use and international etiquette. Courses on psychological self-adjustment, simple medical treatment processes, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and common infectious diseases in Africa are also taught, in order to enhance the volunteer's self-protection ability and adaptability to an unfamiliar environment.

The volunteers will provide one-year-long service in health care, music education, Mandarin language training as well as housing and infrastructure construction in the Republic of Seychelles.
