On Aug. 25, on the basis of mutual benefit and win-win, SINOTRANS Guangxi Company signed Logistics Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Guangxi Liuzhou Iron and Steel (Group) Company (hereinafter, Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group ), which is the largest state-owned enterprise in Guangxi.
In recent years, SINOTRANS Guangxi Company has always followed the strategy of serving large clients and large projects to provide all-round logistics services to local large enterprises. Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group is one of the large clients of SINOTRANS Guangxi Company. In the past years, SINOTRANS Guangxi Company has provided an increasingly wide range of logistics services to Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group, with the transportation scope expanded from steel products to raw materials, coal, steel products and other goods, and service contents expanded from inland water transportation to sea-railway multimodal transport, sea-land multimodal transport, application to customs, application to inspection and even to providing logistics supervision services to the clients of Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group.
Both parties have deepened mutual understanding during the coopeartion, and the professional, considerate and meticulous services of SINOTRANS Guangxi Company have won the recognition and trust of Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group. At present, the annual comprehensive steel production capacity of Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group reaches about 8 million tons.
In the first half of 2009, its output of steel and steel by-products reached 9.4 million tons, with a year-on-year growth of 24%. Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group, the largest iron & steel production enterprise in Guangxi, has annual logistics demand of about 70 million tons. According to the Logistics Strategic Cooperation Agreement, SINOTRANS Guangxi Company and Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group will become strategic cooperation partners and promote the all-round logistics cooperation between both parties through resource integration, service innovation and management innovation.
Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group will make SINOTRANS Guangxi Company as its priority logistics service provider, and SINOTRANS Guangxi Company will control inventory risk, reduce operating cost and raise logistics efficiency for Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group by providing custom-made logistics service so as to fully display the advantages and strengths of SINOTRANS Guangxi Company in comprehensive logistics service.
Meanwhile, during the process of providing service to Liuzhou Iron & Steel Group, SINOTRANS Guangxi Company will further enhance storage and transporation foundation, improve operation quality so as to promote the operation scale to a new level.
