CFMCC Group Incepted in Wuhan

China First Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd. was officially incepted in Wuhan on April 11.
A grand gathering was unveiled in Wuhan on the day to celebrate the inception of CFMCC Group, a strong brand of MCC Group. Hundreds of senior government officials and top executives of MCC Group companies were present at the event. These included deputy secretary general for the provincial government Peng Yong, vice mayor of Wuhan municipal government Wen Zhenfu, vice president of Wuhan I&S Group Corp. Hu Wangming, MCC Group president Wang Weimin, vice president of MCC Limited Wang Xiufeng, and many other senior officials from MCC Group subsidiaries based in Wuhan and the local government.
Vice president Wang Xiufeng announced the resolution of MCC to form the CFMCC Group in Wuhan, and Peng Yong delivered a congratulatory note on behalf of the deputy governor of the provincial government.
CFMCC Group chairman Yuan Yucheng addressed the gathering on behalf of the new incept and all the shareholders. He thanked the MCC Group management and all the present government officials for their continuous support over the years. Yuan assured that the new CFMCC Group would continue to undertake its social responsibilities as a state-owned company, while endeavoring to build its own businesses spanning multiple sectors and disciplines. The chairman vowed to turn CFMCC Group into a leading force to build the country s economy and world-leading strong brand of the MCC Group.
Vice mayor Wen expressed in his speech heartfelt thanks to CFMCC for its contribution to the economic construction in the region over the past 50 years or so. He believed that CFMCC would be able to further contribute their efforts to build the city in the future.
MCC Group president Wang Weimin joined Peng Yong in unveiling the nameplate of the new incept. The MCC Group president delivered a speech at the event. Wang reassured the leading position of CFMCC in the group company, saying that CFMCC has enjoyed over 50 years of glorious history as a major force behind the prosperity of China s steel industry. He put a high premium on the company s efforts in corporate restructuring and strategic planning in an attempt to build a strong brand in the country.
Wang Weimin wanted CFMCC Group to continue its efforts in planning the businesses and increasing inputs on building its strong points so as to ensure that the state-owned assets value is maintained and increased. He hoped that CFMCC would continue to focus on its traditional steel sector while creating synergies amongst its other business segments. CFMCC should step up its work in organizational reform and talent building in order to secure long-term development of the company. Wang also wanted the new group company to increase its inputs on scientific research work to develop more proprietary technologies that are essential to the overall success and increase of the value of the state-owned assets.
