NUC Opening Ceremony Held for 2009 Freshmen

On the morning of September 5, NUC Opening Ceremony of the 2009 School Year was held at Xingzhi Square.

Shi Qian, Chairman of NUC Council, Zhang Wendong, President of NUC, Zhang Huixuan and Chang Xiaobnao, Vice- Chairmen of NUC Council, Xiao Zhongliang, Han Yan, Liu Youzhi and Shen Xingquan, NUC Vice-Presidents, as well as leaders from the departments and schools were present at the ceremony together with 8,300 freshmen.

Zhang Huixuan chaired the ceremony.

At the ceremony, President Zhang Wendong delivered a speech expressing warm welcome to the freshmen and reviewing the history and growth of NUC. Finally, he also expressed his hopes that the freshmen should shoulder the mission and responsibility of building NUC with all NUC-ers while share the success and honor the school had achieved. Students and teachers representatives made speeches respectively.
