Extend International Development, Deepen Global Cooperation-- Secretary Wang Leads the Initiation of Cooperation with Universities in Europe and Asia

Professor Wang Rong, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of YUFE, led a delegation on invitation to visit the National University of Latvia, Moscow State University, Saint-Petersburg State University, Repin Academy of Fine Arts, Southern Federal University and Moscow State University of Humanities.

During this ten-day visit, President Wang met presidents from six universities, reaching consensus on a series of cooperative intentions. After talks with the Minister of Education of Latvia and the president of the National University of Latvia, primary consensus for a 3+1 exchange program was reached. Additionally, the Minister promised to solve the policy problems in the cooperation between YUFE and the National University of Latvia.
YUFE and Repin Academy of Fine Arts signed a cooperative memorandum after meeting. South Federal University and Moscow State University of Humanities agreed to exchange arts and design majors and co-edit textbooks with YUFE. Wang presided with representatives from Moscow State University at the opening ceremony of the Researching Center of Global Issues in the Asia-Pacific Region. This is the first research think tank of high-level international issues co-constructed by YUFE and foreign universities.

During the visit in the History Museum of Moscow State University, Wang wrote on the guest book, True universities are sacred places that attract masters and inherit civilization. The splendid history of Moscow State University has proved she is for Russia and the whole world. Here I sincerely wish a bright future for Moscow State University and the Russian people. It is not only an assessment of Moscow State University, but also a precise interpretation of the nature of university. Universities are the carrier of civilization and the bridge between civilizations. Therefore, the internationalization of education is an essential part of the development of universities.
