Openning Ceremony: 2010 Sino-Canadian Workshop on Education and Technology

On the morning of 31st October, 2010 Sino-Canadian Workshop on Education and Technology: Toward a Global Research Community opened in Huizhou University. It was sponsored by China Educational and Technological Association and ONT Education College of Canada Toronto University and undertook by SCNU (South China Normal University) and HZU (Huizhou University). Party Secretary Li Xiufeng and Vice -president Peng Yonghong and over 200 people including more than 50 professors and experts from Chinese and Canadian universities attended the opening ceremony and symposiums. The opening ceremony was host by Professor Jiao Jianli from SCNU.

Secretary Li delivered an opening speech and gave a warm welcome to experts and professors from China and abroad. Professor Jim Slotta from ONT Education College expressed that by this Workshop he hoped to learn more about educational and technological projects in China and meanwhile to share research results under global community views with Chinese scholars.

After the opening ceremony, Professor Jim Slotta, Vice- President Wang Zhuzhu from Central Electronic Education Ministry and Professor Alyssa Wise from Simon University respectively gave lectures on Learning How people Learn Analysis on Distance Training for Teachers Projects and Supporting and Studying Individual and Group learning in Online Discussions .
