Hunan University and Changfeng Group Signed Strategic Agreement to Facilitate the Development of New Energy Automobile Industry

On July 10, Hunan University and Changfeng Group signed a Comprehensive Framework Agreement on the Strategic Cooperation on the Areas of Energy Saving and New Energy Automobile for joint research and development.

The Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Vehicle Body Design & Manufacture of Hunan University and the Automotive Electronics & Control Engineering Center of the Ministry of Education of China are important technological platforms for the production, learning and research of domestic automobile industry.

The "Zhongqi Sedan", successfully developed by the group headed by Zhong Zhihua, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of Hunan University, greatly promotes the progress of the self innovation technology of China's automobile industry. Changfeng Group is a large-scale province-owned automobile enterprise, and has gained great progress in the research and development of new energy vehicle.

With the cooperation of the two sides and increased investment to the research and development of new energy automobile, Hunan New Energy Automobile Science & Technology Co. Ltd. will be set up with an aim to build itself into a state-level industrialization demonstration base for new energy automobile within 5 years.

Party Secretary of Hunan University Liu Keli expressed that the university and enterprise cooperation will complement each other's advantages, bringing concentration effects and contributing to the core competition capacity of the new energy automobile industry of Hunan province.

Provincial leaders Chen Shuhong, Guo Kailang and Yang Baohua sent congratulations to the signing ceremony and visited the exhibition for automobiles either self-developed by Hunan University or cooperatively developed and produced by Hunan University and Changfeng Group.
