It is learned on Jan. 9 from Yuelu Academy that a collection of over 300 pieces of bamboo slips dating back to the Qin Dynasty (221 BC - 206 BC) was officially published by Shanghai Lexicographical Publishing House.

The bamboo slips collection which is a vivid reflection of the conditions and customs of the Qin Dynasty is a new year gift from the Qin bamboo slips study group at the Yuelu Academy to the academic circle.

The first volume of the collection has included Qin artifacts before the year of 212 BC, including original-sized colored photos, two-faced infrared images at their original sizes, and magnified infrared images of three artifacts (Zhi Ri, How to Be an Official for the Common People, and Dream Interpreting) as well as their transcriptions and notes. Test reports and diagrams of the slip sequence are also included for reference.

According to Prof. Chen Songchang, vice president of the Yuelu Academy, the first artifacts, Zhi Ri, is the so called diary and log; while the second one can be crosschecked with the Qin bamboo slips How to Be an Official evacuated at Shuihudi of Hubei Province, hence can be claimed as another version of the administration course book in the Qin Dynasty.
