French Allergology Society's President Appointed Guest Prof

Prof Pascal Demoly, new president of French Society of Allergology was appointed as guest professor of Tongji Hospital on Nov 11. He is a chest physician and allergologist at the University Hospital of Montpellier, France.

Prof Wu Hua, deputy director of Tongji Hospital, introduced Prof Demoly's research achievements in Allergy medicine, teaching and research. Wu conferred the letter of appointment on him and expressed sincere thanks to Prof Demoly for his acceptance of the appointment.


Mr. Serge Lavroff, French Consul General to Wuhan, attended the ceremony. He appreciated the academic achievements and position Tongji Hospital held and hoped Prof Demoly could continue to make contributions to the exchanges of Sino-French Allergology.

Prof Demoly noted it was his pleasure to be appointed as a guest professor. He said, he was honored and was under pressure given HUST's fame in China and Tongji Hospital' renown in its profound historical, cultural and academic background. He pledged he would work with colleagues in allergology and share his experiences to realize the common dreams with Tongji hospital.


Before the ceremony, the third Tongji Allergology Medicine Forum & Sino-French Allergology Academic Conference was held in the Department of Allergology. Prof Demoly together with Prof Deslee, Prof Fantaine and Prof Sabouraud gave the clinical doctors of allergology novel and high level lectures on immunotherapy in Europe, new therapy of asthma, recombinant allergen and children's allergies.
