Cross-Taiwan Straights The Sustainable Design of Traditional Culture Workshop held at JU

On the morning of Sep.4, theCross-Taiwan Straights The Sustainable Design of Traditional Culture Workshop, in which Jiangnan University, Taiwan Ming Chi University of Technology, Yunlin University of Science and Technology and Chang Gung University jointly participated, was opened at School of Design, Jiangnan University.

Prof. Guo Weimin, Dean of School of Design, first delivered a speech. He reviewed the recent cooperation and exchange between Jiangnan University and the relevant Taiwanese universities like Taiwan Ming Chi University of Technology, Yunlin University of Science and Technology. He expressed his expectations that college students from both sides of Taiwan Straights could exchange and explore actively in terms of the innovation and sustainable development of traditional Chinese culture.

Deans and professors from the three Taiwanese universities delivered speeches as well to express their warm welcome to all the attendees and good wishes to this workshop.

After the opening ceremony, staff and students from both sides of Taiwan Straights had a tour at School of Design. They visited show room , exhibition of bamboo instruments and the achievement show of workshop co-held by Jiangnan University and Copenhagen Engineering University. This opening ceremony was followed by a series of lectures delivered by professors from both sides of Taiwan Straights.
