Guy Vincendon Awarded Honorary Professorship from SJTUOn March 4, 2011, Vice President Zhang Wenjun met with Professor Guy Vincendon, honorary dean of the Faculty of Medicine at University of Strasburg and awarded him honorary professorship on behalf of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on Minhang Campus.

Zhang Wenjun extended congratulations and thanks to Professor Vincendon for his long-term efforts and contributions to strengthening cooperation between SJTU Medical School and higher education institutes in France. Professor Vincendon remarked that it was a great honor to be awarded SJTU honorary professorship which he would cherish and that he would continue to work for promoting cooperation between SJTU Medical School and the medical educational circles in France.

Professor Vincendon, as coordinator on the French side for the SJTU clinical medicine program (in French), has been committed to enhancing cooperation between SJTU Medical School, higher education institutes in France, international organizations and academic societies in the fields of talent cultivation, medical education, science and technology.

Thanks to his active efforts, majors of Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing are now covered by the program which is available to students, full-time faculty members and medical staff and has contributed greatly to the international education of the Medical School.

Professor Vincendon was conferred honorary professorship by the former Shanghai Second Medical University in February of 2003 and received White Magnolia Award from Shanghai Municipal People's Government in September, 2003.

Present at the meeting was also Chen Guilin, Deputy Director of International Exchange Office of SJTU Medical School.
