Logistics Forum Held in Nanning

After the completion of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA), the development of logistic industry becomes one of the key factors for Guangxi s companies and people who hope to really enjoy the benefits brought by CAFTA. On Jan. 17, the 2-day Science and Technology Ushering in the New Era 2010 Guangxi Development Forum on China s Logistics was opened in Nanning.How will Guangxi develop logistics to build the regional modern commercial and logistic base has become the hot topic for discussion at the Forum.

With the theme of making scientific and technological innovations for the development of logistics , the Forum was sponsored by the Logistics Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University and Guangxi Enterprises & Entrepreneurs Federation and organized by Nanning Administration of Safe Production and Nanning New and High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. About 10 famous scholars and over 200 guests including the founders of China s modern logistic science and comprehensive energy economics, and of China s technical economics as well as the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering attended the Forum.

The scholars and experts would take time to visit the companies and the development zones or parks in Guangxi to explore the matching and service mode between the resources in Guangxi for the development of modern logistics and the concerning industries like new and high-tech, financial service, information-based development and processing manufacturing, etc.
