The water towns of south China, called "Jiangnan Shuixiang" in Chinese, refers to the area south of the Yangtze River. Gentle weather, floating rills, ancient bridges and quiet towns make the area a wonderful place to escape from the crowded cities and relax your body. After thousands of years, water town culture and ancient buildings have been well protected in some small villages. The six most popular ancient towns in South China are ZhouzhuangTongliLuzhiNanxunXitangand Wuzhen in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces.
