Liuhou Park

It is built in honor of Liu Zhongyuan – a great literate in the Tang Dynasty who was once the governor of Liuzhou.

Overview

Liuhou Park covers an area of about 20 hectares. In 1909, the original Liuhou Memorial Temple was extended into the Liuhou Park to commemorate Liu Zhongyuan, a famed literate, ideologist and politician in the Tang Dynasty. There are some historic sites concerned with Liu Zhongyuan, namely, Liuhou Memorial Temple, Liu Zhongyuan Cenotaph, Luo Pool, Juxiang Pavilion and so on.

There is an artificial lake with an area of 7 hectares. The clean water and the curved bridge beautify the lake. By the lake, verdant trees, pavilion and rockery together make the scenery even more splendid. There are also some other recreational facilities including Miniature Garden, zoo and Children's Park.

It is a good destination for the local people to relax themselves.

How to get there: You can take the bus NO.2, 5, 6, 9, 12, 25 and 26 to Liuhou Park.

Best Time to Be There: It is located at the subtropical zone with four distinct seasons, wild climate and abundant rainfall. The average temperature is 20.5℃. It rains more in spring and hot in summer. Thus, autumn is the best time to be there.
