In terms of eight categories, in September, price for foodstuff rose by 2.4 percent over the same month of previous year. Of the total, price for grain rose by 3.4 percent, that for oil declined by 0.2 percent, that for meal, poultry and its products decreased 0.5 percent, that for eggs up by 0.8 percent, that for aquatic products up by 1.2 percent, and that for fresh vegetables increased 7.8 percent. The price for tobacco, alcohol and daily articles rose by 0.8 percent, year-on-year. Of the total, price for tobacco rose by 0.2 percent, while the price for alcohol up by 1.8 percent. The price for clothing declined by 0.5 percent over the same period of last year. Of the total, price for clothes decreased 0.9 percent. The price for household appliances and maintenance services increased 1.7 percent. Of which, price for durable consumer goods rose by 1.5 percent and that for household services and machining and maintenance service gained an increase of 5.7 percent The price for medical care and personal articles increased 1.3 percent. Of which, price for western medicines declined by 2.0 percent, that for traditional Chinese medicinal materials and medicines increased 1.0 percent, that for medical care services was up to 2.4 percent. The price for transportation and communication had a year-on-year increase of 0.2 percent. Of which, price for vehicles declined by 2.5 percent, that for vehicle fuel and spares increased 12.0 percent, that for using and maintaining of vehicles rose by 3.1 percent, that for intercity transportation rose by 6.6 percent, that for urban transportation rose by 5.7 percent, while the price for telecommunication instruments declined by 17.4 percent. The price for recreation, education and culture articles and services decreased 1.4 percent over the same month of the previous year. Of which, price for tuition and cost on baby-care rose by 1.7 percent, that for education and recreation rose by 2.6 percent, that of tourism was up 3.5 percent, while price for recreation articles dropped 0.6 percent. The price for residential articles was up by 5.0 percent, year-on-year. Of which, prices for water, electricity and fuel increased 5.8 percent, that for housing construction and decoration materials rose by 4.4 percent and that for housing renting was up by 3.8 percent. The accumulated consume price index from January to September was up by 1.3 percent year-on-year. |
