Per Capita Cash Income of Farmers Climbed in the First Three Quarters


According to the result of nationwide sampling survey on 68 thousand rural households in 31 provinces of China, it was indicated that per capita cash income of farmers reached 3,321 yuan in the first three quarters, a real growth of 14.8 percent after deducting price factors, up by 3.4 percentage point over the same period last year.

Per capita income from wages of farmers was 1,139 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.2 percent. Of the total, per capita income for working was 1,013 yuan, rose by 21.0 percent; of which, that of working in local enterprises obtained 583 yuan, an increase of 19.1 percent; and working outside was 430 yuan, an increase of 24.1 percent.

Per capita cash income by selling agricultural products reached 1,429 yuan, a year-on-year growth of 19.8 percent. Of the total, per capita income by selling crop products reached 786 yuan, an increase of 16.4 percent; that by selling forestry products was 40 yuan, an increase of 9.9 percent; that by selling animal husbandry products was 552 yuan, rose by 26.8 percent; and that by selling fishery products was 52 yuan, up by 11.0 percent year-on-year.

Income from secondary and tertiary industries by household operation achieved 458 yuan, increased 11.7 percent over the same period of last year. Of the total, per capita income from industry was 95 yuan, an increase of 14.5 percent; that from construction was 53 yuan, up by 16.7 percent; that from the tertiary industry was 310 yuan, rose by 12.0 percent.

Per capita cash income from properties was 84 yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.5 percent, and that from transfers was 172 yuan, up by 21.2 percent.
