Servicemen of China and Kazakhstan are greeting each other with military salute.
On the morning of January 21, at the invitation of the Makanchi frontier agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, seven servicemen from the Tacheng frontier agency of China arrived at Makanchi Town of Kazakhstan for talks between the representatives of frontier agencies of the two countries.
Before the talks, to express Spring Festival blessings to the Chinese frontier servicemen, the Kazak frontier agency specially arranged the Chinese servicemen to visit its local middle school where the students gave a wonderful art performance.
Then, the frontier servicemen of both sides held harmonious and friendly talks. During the talks, the frontier representatives of China and Kazakhstan summed up and reviewed the achievements made in the joint management and control operations by the two sides in the joint management border sections in 2010, and also made arrangements for the joint management operations in 2011.
Senior Colonel Chu Fulong, representative of the Tacheng frontier agency of the Chinese side, and Lieutenant Colonel Rumasov, representative of the Makanchi frontier agency of the Kazakh side, signed the agreement on border management and control in the joint management border sections for 2011.
It is learned that since the new China-Kazakhstan border agreement took effect on July 29, 2003, the two frontier agencies have had close contacts, and carried out nearly 30 joint management and control operations in the joint management border sections, effectively ensuring the security and stability of the joint management border sections.
