Vice Minister Niu Dun Attends the National Pavilion Day of the Cook Islands

On August 5, on behalf of the Chinese government, Niu Dun, Vice Minister of Agriculture, was present at the National Pavilion Day of the Cook Islands with Robert Wigmore, Deputy Prime Minister of the Cook Island, at the Shanghai World Expo site.

Vice Minister Niu held the welcome ceremony for the delegation of Robert Wigmore, and flag-raising ceremony at the east square of the Expo Center. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and strengthening agricultural cooperation. Robert Wigmore spoke highly of the friendly cooperation between China and the Cook Islands, and gave a brief introduction to the development of his domestic economy. The Deputy Prime Minister also expressed the hope to strengthen agricultural collaboration with China.
