Deploy Industry High-End, CEC Signed LED Project Agreement in Xiamen

The Kaifa Crystal LED project agreement signed in Xiamen XiangAn Industrial Park on December 27, 2010, the project is joint invested by Taiwan EPISTAR Corporation, YiGuanJing (Fujian) Optical-Electronics and Great Wall Kaifa Technology which is one of the subsidiary of CEC, focus on the R&D and manufacture of LED epitaxial slice. It indicates another solid step for CEC to build LED Industrial Chain.

Mr. Yu Weiguo, the standing committee member of Fujian provincial Party committee and the Party Secretary of XiamenCity, Mr. Liu Xigui, mayor of Xiamen city, Mr. Liu Liehong, the president of CEC, Mr. Li Bingjie, the Chairman of Epistar Optical-Electric, Mr. Xuan Jiansheng, the Chairman of TPV Technology, Mr. Du Heping, The President of Great Wall Technology, Mr. Tam Man Chi, the Chairman of Shenzhen Kaifa Technology and other leaders participated in the signature ceremony.

Mr. liu Liehong gave a speech in the Ceremony, he said that CEC is the largest IT group in China, Great Wall Kaifa is one core subsidiary, it is famous EMS enterprise domestic and worldwide. It is the good time for LED industry development currently, and will have a bright future in the coming years. It is core of information industry that we invest LED field, so that it is lifeful. Xiamen is one of LED accumulation area in mainland, there must be a bright future to invest LED industry in Xiamen. It is confident that CEC cooperate with Epistar and YiGuanJIng to build the best and competitive LED industrial base.

Taiwan Epistar Optical-Electric, the cooperative partner, is a well known LED epitaxial wafer and IC chip manufacturer worldwide, it owns the advanced manufacture techniques, and it is the largest Red-Ray LED manufacture and the fourth largest Blue-Ray LED manufacture, the main production is extra-luminance LED epitaxial wafers and crystal grain. CEC will be the controlling shareholder via its core subsidiary, Great Wall Kaifa, the main business will start from the R&D, manufacture and sales on LED epitaxial wafer and chips after the project run into operation, and then extend into back-light module, light source and lamp, the annual output will reach 720 thousands peaces of epitaxial wafer after the first term project operated.
