Mengniu is honored as "China's Best Low Carbon Enterprise"

The year 2010 is the first year of China s low carbon year. Which enterprises and sections are leading this low carbon era? Twenty enterprises such as Mengniu Dairy Group and Baolixiexin Energy gained award of China s Best Low Carbon Enterprise . These enterprises formed an unique beautiful scenery of China s first year of low carbon.

Mengniu's ecological program is consistently affirmed

In released data of the committee writes the reason of Mengniu s winning, Mengniu pays great attention to environmental protection and sustainable development, and concentrates on exploring recyclable economy development mode. What s more, Mengniu places ecological program construction to the same important position as production.

Not long before, Mengniu just won China 2009-2010 Annual Green (Low Carbon) Brand Award and gained access to top 50 of 2010 China s Most Valuable Brand List. The concept and action Mengniu had been bearing and taking on green ecology made it the real green brand star. It was known that in passing five months of this year, Mengniu had successively gained honors of Enterprise of Green and Health Award, Most Eminent Low Carbon enterprise, China s Pioneering Low Carbon Enterprise, and Top 20 Enterprises of Chinese Enterprise for Energy Preservation and Emission Reduction etc. On average, Mengniu won a prize very one month, and this speed of prize gaining made a brand new record among the industry and at the same time fixed Mengniu s position of pioneering green and low carbon enterprise to benchmark the Chinese green enterprise.

New energy source is favorable

As the counterpart infrastructure of Austasia International Dairy Farm, the power plant made farm free from public hazard, pollution, zero exhaust emission so that a model of recyclable economy integrating farm planting, dairy cow raising and product processing is formed. United Nations Development Program honored this project as Demonstration Program of Large Scale Methane Power Plant to Speed up Commercialization Capability of China s Recyclable Energy Construction .

So far Mengniu has consistently invested RMB 400 million on energy preservation and recyclable economy to make unceasing efforts towards building green garden factory, and construct domestically advancing sewage disposal plant with capacity of over 10,000 tons to make Mengniu the pioneer and explorer of low carbon economy innovation.
