Mengniu yoghurt wins the world champion

The IUFost 15th World Congress honored as the food Olympic was grandly inaugurated in South Africa.1,500 industrial representatives from 79 countries attended the conference. On behalf of Chinese dairy industry, Mengniu s Guanyiru yoghurt won the International Food Industry Award.

On this year s conference, over twenty product categories from global top dairy companies are on exhibition to compete IUFoST International Food Industry Award. Mengniu s Guanyiru yoghurt wins this award on behalf of Chinese dairy industry, which is also the first time for Chinese dairy maker to win this award. After entering the world s top 16 dairy companies, Mengniu again uphold the flag of world dairy industry.

IUFoST general secretary Judith Meech highly praised Mengniu s Guanyiru yogurt in the congress. He thought that Mengniu s yoghurt had positive contribution to development of Chinese dairy industry. Mengniu demonstrated its remarkable innovation and technique which would in return increasingly benefit health level for Chinese public.

It is known that IUFost 15th World Congress is the highest level conference of international food industry. It was sponsored by IUFoST and the first annual conference was firstly held in London in 1962, and this year s conference was the 15th meeting. This year s congress themed Scientific Food Solution in the Changing World, and as dynamic section of international food industry, the trend of dairy food in the future has become a focal point for experts in various circles.

Xia Haitong, the representative from Mengniu Dairy Group introduced that in recent years, 50% of global milk consumption increase came from China, and Chinese dairy product targeting at premium and function will gradually push global dairy industry to a consolidation period. Along with rapid development of world dairy industry, Chinese dairy industry will become an important power of influencing the world.
