In 2003, we contracted 105 metro cars with Tehran Urban & Suburban Railways, Iran. The air-conditioned trainset is comprised 7 cars, of which 5 are power and 2 are trailer. The AC propulsion system are compounded of VVVF inverter, asynchronous traction motor and micro-processor controls. The vehicle is equipped with computer-controlled electric-pneumatic brake system and three-phase-drive compressor.
The max. speed is 80km/h. The first beach will be shipped in November 2004. Tehran Subway is the first metro project not only in Iran but also everywhere in the Middle East. With 50 long slope, the operation condition is very difficulty. Since 1995, we have contracted 399 metro cars with Iran. There are 217 cars on No.
1 and No.2 Line of Tehran Subway. They are running well and warmly welcomed by Tehran residents.
