Contract of 77 metro cars for Iran was signed in Beijing this month. The contract is the extension of project of 217 metro cars supplied in 1990s. The content includes 7 integrated and 70 CKD which will be built locally.
Tehran Subway was built under Chinese help and is the first metro project not only in Iran but also everywhere in the Middle East. With 50 long slope, the operation condition is very difficulty. Since 1995, we have delivered 217 metro cars to Iran, which are running well on No.1 and No.2 Line of Tehran Subway. They are warmly welcomed by Tehran residents.
