A agreement on technology transfer program of high-speed electric trains between French engineering group Alstom and China"s CNR Datong Electric Locomotive Company was signed on June 11 in Pairs. French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin and Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan presented the ceremony. Nine contracts and agreements are signed in the ceremony included aerospace, electricity, television satellite and nuclear power plant, which worth billions of dollars between Chinese and French companies.
CNR Datong Company is one of six key manufacturers supported by the Railway Ministrys. It major in high power mixed traffic electric locomotive. The SS7E is a pioneer in the fifth railway speed-up.
On June 10, Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan visited a high-speed trains plant of Alstom in the company of CNR president Cui Dianguo and CNR Datong President Shi Xiaoding.
