Three special express luggage train-sets, Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Harbin, were put into use on May 18. 72 new luggage cars, made by CNR Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Works, bore the heavy burden. The operation of express luggage train save one to four days for transportation.
The luggage car is a new product equipped safety inspection and diagnoses system, electrical control system, air conditioning system, etc. The max. speed is 160 km/h.
