On June 28, the first train-set for Tianjin Metro rolled out in CNR Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. recently.
One year ago, on Feb. 18, 2004, a contract of 100 metro cars for Tianjin Subway was signed in Tianjin. There are 25 train-sets. Each train-set is comprised 4 cars, of which 2 are power and 2 are trailer. The vehicles adopted advanced technology such as VVVF inverter and type B aluminum alloy broad-body. The design speed is 80 km/h. The interior material meet the requirement of Germany standard DIN5510.
The total length of line 1 is 26.2 km. There are 22 station.
This is the third time that Changchun subsidiary cooperated with Tianjin Subway. In 1984, Changchun supplied 19 metro cars with chopper control system for the opening running of Tianjin Subway. Changchun got the order again in 2002 for supply 114 rapid transit vehicle with stainless car body.
