Jia Qinglin Encourages Gree to Become Bigger

On April 8 afternoon, Jia Qinglin, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, who were investigating in Guangdong, visited Gree Electric Appliances with the accompany of Wang Yang, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, secretary of Guangdong Province Party Committee, and Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province.

While listening to the report made by Ms. Dong Mingzhu, president of Gree Electric Appliances on independent innovation, production and operation of the company, Jia visited the showroom and workshop with great interest.

Since the independent innovation closely relates to the key competitiveness of a company, a region and even a country, Jia showed great concerns about this during his visit. He asked questions on every corner and let no details go through, from core technology to patent application, from independent R & D to scientific research investment. Jia also showered praise on the 1400 patents and over 300 core technologies gained by Gree company.

Jia emphasized that, to succeed in the future competition, the company need to pay great attention to the improvement of independent innovation, speed up the development to win the competitive advantage based on scientific advancement and innovation. He also encouraged Gree to become a giant enterprise group with international competitiveness.
