Material Donation Worth 230,000 Yuan Dispatched for Quake-hit Area

At 8:15am. May 29, two vans of Gree Chongqing production base, carrying 230,000 Yuan worth of disaster relief materials and the warm sympathy of Gree staff, headed off to Guangyuan, Sichuan, one of the quake-hit area.

May 20, Sichuan Guangyuan municipal government called for urgent assistance to the whole society over 1,3 million local residents lives outdoors and were in badly need of all kinds of daily necessities such as mattress, quilt, rice and medicine for heatstroke prevention and disinfection. On hearing about the news, Chongqing production base of Gree Electric Appliances got in touch with Guangyuan headquarter for earthquake resistance and disaster relief quickly, and decided to purchase needy materials for the quake-hit area with the donation of Gree staff, totally worth of 230,000Yuan (about 33,430 USD).

Within a week of urgent purchase, the disaster relief material, including 750 quilts, 330 pieces of mattress, 200 bags of rice, 148 barrels of edible oil, 15 boxes of medicine, 500 sets of cookware and over 900 clothes donated voluntarily by Gree staff, was sent to Guangyuan quake-hit area and handed over to the disaster victims through Guangyuan headquarter for earthquake resistance and disaster relief.
