Libya Build 2008

Libya Build was initiated in 2004, and was held in April every year. The exhibited items are all kinds of materials related to construction, including construction facilities, building materials and construction equipment. Most of the attendees are from Libya, surrounding countries of North Africa, Europe, Middle East and China. The exhibition is only open to the professional buyers. This exhibition aims to satisfy the demand for construction material after lifting the economic sanction, adopting the open policy and developing its infrastructure. The exhibition grows year by year. There were 170 companies attended the exhibition, while this time it hits 500, with exhibition area and number of visitors all reaching the highest in the history. Tripoli international exhibition hall includes indoor and outdoor area, all open to the public. The outdoor area is mainly used for large mechanics equipment, while indoor area is composed of 86 different kinds of small exhibition sections.

The major air conditioner attendees this year include Mersin (Gree, Hommer and Airzone), LG, McQuay, Carrier, White-Westinghouse, Fujitsu, V5, Rheem and Chigo. The exhibited units are mostly commercial unit such as VRF systems, duct type unit and rooftop air conditioners, as well as a few home use units.

Mersin, agent of Gree has attended the exhibition for several years and has put tremendous efforts in preparing the exhibition, and the exhibition area also ranked the top among all the air conditioner attendees. The indoor exhibition platform was mainly used for home use air conditioners, and shared by Gree and Hommer two parts. Gree exhibited the new Green Series (split unit), Cooling Bay (floor standing unit) and mobile unit. The air conditioners were turned on during the whole exhibition period so that the buyers could feel its strong cooling effect, there were also two screens broadcasting Gree promotion commercial, which also draw lots of buyers to watch; the outdoor area is close to the entrance, Mersin is the only attendee that exhibited large chiller unit. Buyers crowded to visit and consult on the site, and were really surprised by the Gree s large chiller unit showed this time.

Gree air conditioner has raised massive attention of builders, contractors and air conditioner retailers. The staff of Chinese embassy at Libya also paid a visit to our stand and asked about the sales situation of air conditioner in Libya, hoping that we could take this great opportunity that the local government large develops its infrastructure to further raise the profit and promote the brand popularity.
