Gree Offers Compensation to 240 Staff from Quake-affected Area

June 7, an email of Gree company and staff from quake-affected area join hands in building a better homeland was sent out by labor union of Gree. Soon it spreadd across the whole company and warmed everybody s heart. At the same day, on behalf of the company, the labor union granted a compensation of totally 126,900 Yuan (about 18,500 USD) to 240 workers from quake-hit area who suffer from life and property losses back home.

According to the statistics, there are 2800 Sichuan staff in Gree Electric Appliances. Three of them lost their family members in this earthquake, 90 staff s home crashed and 144 people had their houses damaged to different extent. Gree offered an compensation as high as 5000 Yuan for the staff whose home was seriously damaged.

Ms. Dong Mingzhu, Vice Chairman of Board and President of Gree stressed, Gree Electric Appliances was the strong supporter and home for the quake zone staff in Zhuhai forever. Gree would keep concerning about the reconstruction work and offer greatest support and help to them. The company also sent highest respect to the Sichuan workers sticking to their working post, hoped they could get rid of the bad influence and be strong enough to work and face the difficulties.

The workers of affected areas said, with so many people concerning about them, especially the warm care of Gree, they just felt like home. They would do their own job hardly and return the society with actual action.
