Gree Electric Appliance, Winner of "Most Globally Competitive Chinese Companies" Award for Two Consecutive Years
The result of the "Most Globally Competitive Chinese Companies" contest jointly organized by Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and the Global Entrepreneur magazine was released on October 8th, Gree Electric Appliance, together with Lenovo, Huawei and other industry moguls, were listed among the top 20.
This is the second time Gree ranked this prestigious honor.
Experts say the fact that Gree has bucked the trend of global economic downturn amid worry about the globalization of Chinese enterprises and has shown sound growth momentum in both export and domestic sales is a reflection of Gree's remarkable competitiveness and survival ability.
This year marked the third time the "Most Globally Competitive Chinese Company" contest has been held. This is the first list in China to reflect the survival and competitive ability of Chinese enterprises in an era of globalization by mainly focusing on their overseas performance, sustainable competitive ability in globalization and cross-culture management ability. It is a witness to and a record of the difficult transformation of Chinese enterprises from "home-grown companies" to "trans-national companies". Gree is the only enterprise among the top 20 winners to specialize in home appliance products.
